Easter Weekend Games Re-Scheduled!

Upward Parents:

Due to the large majority of players and Coaches who will be out of town this Easter weekend, we will re-schedule games planned for Sat., April 3 (makeup schedule will be posted by the end of the week).

If you do not currently have a church home, we invite you to attend the Easter Services here at NRBC this Sun., April 4:

8: 15 a.m. - Bible Study
9:30 a.m. - Worship & Bible Study
11:00 a.m. - Worship

Kiss-the-Pig Fundraiser - for a great cause!

Beginning this Saturday, March 27, we will have ballot forms available to begin casting votes for our "Kiss-the-Pig" fundraiser to raise funds for a new, improved recreation field. All monies earned will go directly into this fund. All votes are $1 each, but people can cast as many votes as they'd like. The person (or people) with the most votes will Kiss-the-Pig at our Upward Awards Celebration Carnival/Cookout on Sun., April 25. NRBC Pastors, Upward Cheer & Football Coaches as well as the Upward League Commissioners will be on the ballot form to cast your votes for. Don't miss out - it's for a great cause!

Reminder of Game Day Rain Plan

Just a reminder of what to do/check in the event of rain, snow or severely damaged fields FROM rain/snow...please do the following to check and see if games are cancelled:

(1.) Check the NRBC Website & Blog - you can check the website & blog to stay updated on weather and game cancellations for game days.

(2.) Call the church voicemail system - (757) 484-3423. In the event of cancelled games, we will have it on the church voicemail system. Please stay on the line to listen for information when you call in (please press - "talk to an attendant"...it does not say "cancelled" right away...it takes a minute or two)

Saturday's Games Postponed!

Parents & UPWARD Families:
Due to the Suffolk Public Schools having a snow make-up day this Saturday, we will have to re-schedule games to a later week. We will officially "kick off" our season on Sat., March 13. We felt it was important not to interfere with the School Systems and we don't want the majority of our kids missing the first game! Please note: You will go by the game schedules according to the 13th next week, NOT the 6th.

Free Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich Day!

Our League will be having a Free Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich Day on Sat., April 10 during the games. The NRBC Red Cross Disaster Relief Team is providing the Free Sandwiches as a drill for future preparations. So, plan on enjoying a free sandwich on Sat., April 10.
