Upward Coaching Needs Update

Just an update -
We are still in need of 2 (1-3 grade) Coaches. We have temporary fill-ins who are all Coaching other teams. We have 1 team that practices on Mondays and 1 team that practice on Tuesdays. Fund The Field: Dunk Tank Madness

The date is set for our "Dunk Tank Madness" "fund the fields" fundraiser - Sat., October 23 from 8:30 - 11:30 a.m. Kids/Parents can pay $5 for 3 chances to knock their Coach or Upward Commissioner in the ice cold water. Dunk Tank Schedule to follow!

Upward Missions Project: Sports Shoes & Socks for Uruguay

NRBC Upward Sports will be doing a mission project from Sat., October 2 - Sat., November 6. We are collecting sports shoes & socks for Uruguay. We need inexpensive, new sports shoes and warm socks for impoverished children. This will open many doors for workers to share the Gospel and plant churches. The shoes can be any kind of sports shoes - soccer, tennis, basketball, etc. in children & youth sizes.

You can help reach 1.4 million people who live in the targeted area - Monetevideo, which is the most secular metropolitan area of South America.

There will be a collection box on the Upward Game Fields (near concessions) beginning Sat., October 2.

Upward Jerseys & Shorts

Parents:
If for some reason an Upward jersey doesn't fit that way you thought, etc. it can be exchanged for a difference size. Please contact Lizzy Christian at: lchristian@nansemondriver.org or (757) 484-3423 if you need to have a jersey exchanged or re-fitted. We'd like to make any exchanges well before the first game on September 25. Thanks!
