League Update: Important Information for League Festivities this Weekend!

Dear Upward Parents,

Can you believe we are in our last week of the 2011 Spring Upward Flag Football and Cheerleading season? I pray that you have enjoyed this season and that your child has grown athletically and spiritually. I’m really looking forward to this weekend’s league festivities and wanted to make you aware of a few details regarding the events …

Last Game Day: This Saturday, April 16. There will be a petting zoo during the games for all the kids to enjoy. We will also have sno-cones for sale at Concessions for only $.50. Please note, we are changing the time for “Kiss-the-Cow” to 10:00 a.m. so all can see who the winner is! We will gather near the Concessions Stand following the first game. Votes will be accepted for Kiss-the-Cow until 9:45 a.m. New Kiss-the-Cow standings are below … It’s not too late to vote for your child’s Coach.

It will be held in the NRBC Worship Center at 4:30 p.m. and includes special guest, Dan the Animal Man, performances by our Upward Cheerleaders, distribution of team pictures and end-of-season gifts as well as closing team time. Do not miss out!

Reminders * Makeup Games, Last Game Day & Awards Celebration

• Just a reminder that Double Headers are this Saturday, April 9. We will have hotdogs and “lunch combos” available at the concession stand (hotdog, chips, drink).
  
• Double Headers * Sat., April 9
  Additional Games: beginning at 11:00 a.m. Regular 9:00 and 10:00 a.m. games will continue according to the League Schedule.

Please Note: Some teams will play back to back because games are being made up on the exact schedule set for March 26.

Sat., April 16: On the last game day of Upward, we will have a petting zoo, sno cones and other goodies for the families of Upward. Please plan to stay for the “kiss-the-cow” finale which will take place following the second game – about 11:00 a.m.

Sun., April 17 - Upward Awards Celebration: Please join us for our Upward Awards Celebration, which will be held on Sun., April 17 at 4:30 p.m in the NRBC Worship Center. Special Guest: Dan the Animal Man. We will celebrate the season, give out pictures and end of season gifts as well as see a special guest, "Dan the Animal Man."
