Parent Update & Announcements: Upward Fall Soccer
Upward Parents:
I just wanted to say how excited all of the Commissioners, Coaches and Referees are for our opening game day this Sat., September 24th. Just a few reminders as we enter into our first week of games …
Game Day Field Rules:
• Please no dogs (or pets) on the Recreation fields as we continue to promote the safety of all children and families in our League. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but we really want to protect all involved in the League.
• Please park in the gravel parking lot and not in the grassy area. Again, this is solely for the protection of all children and families – we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
*Please visit the Concessions Stand this Saturday – we will have snacks, fresh coffee, (sports drinks/water/soda) drinks and Upward apparel that can be purchased.
*We have port-a-pots and a hand-washing station near our Recreation fields, so please utilize them, if needed!
Please mark your calendars for the following League Events …
First Game Day: Sat., September 24 (games will either be at 9:00 or 10:00 a.m.)
Dunk Tank Madness (where you can dunk the Upward Coaches and Commissioners): Sat., October 1
League Picture Day: Sat., October 15 (pictures by Lifetouch Sports Photography)
Last Game Day: Sat., November 12
Awards Celebration: Sun., November 13 at 3:00 p.m. (NRBC Worship Center)
Weather Cancellation Policy:
• In the event of inclement weather during practices, your Coaches will decide whether they cancel or move indoors for a scaled down practice.
• In the event of inclement weather on game days, the Upward Commissioners will decide whether games will be cancelled by 8:00 a.m. Stay tuned to this blog for weather cancellations on game days.
