Fall Soccer Dates - 2012 Season:

Coach & Referee Trainings:

Sat., August 18 at 10:00 a.m. (upstairs)

Evaluations:

Sat., August 25 (10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.)

Mon., August 27 (5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.)

First Practice: (Sat., September 8) – Meet & Greet (TBA)

Full week of first practices: September 10

First Game:  Sat., September 22 

Picture Day---> Sat., October 6

Last Game ---> Sat., November 10

Awards Celebration: Sun., November 11 at 3:00 p.m. in W.C. @ NRBC.



USED CLEATS DRIVE:

The Upward Ministry is collecting used/gently worn cleats as part of our "RECYCLE" drive for our Fall Soccer League. There is a plastic container outside the Sports & Recreation Office for parents/players to drop off their used cleats.

There will be a used cleats table available at our Fall Soccer Evaluations (August) for parents to look through the "RECYCLED" cleats that they can use for the upcoming season.

·         *Reminder* Upward Fall Soccer Early Bird Registration Deadline---August 11^th! If you register by August 11^th, your child will be entered to win a variety of door prizes, including Upward bags, tshirts, and a brand new Upward soccer ball!

·         Upward Alumni Referees---calling our High-School Alums: Perhaps your child is now too old to play in our Upward league, maybe they’re interested in being a referee for the upcoming soccer season? They can come out this Thurs., August 2 to help referee the scrimmages, and save the date for our upcoming Coach/Referee Training – Sat., August 18 at 10:00 a.m. at NRBC.

·         Looking for used goals for oldest soccer division: Each season we look to improve our league and one of the changes we hope to make this Fall season is bigger goals for our oldest division. Upward Free Soccer Workshop for 5th-8th Graders

Just a reminder that we're hosting a FREE Soccer Workshop for 5th-8th graders to prepare for the upcoming soccer season this Thursday, August 2 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on the NRBC Recreation Fields. All participants will participate in a variety of skills, drills, and their absolute favorite - SCRIMMAGES (and there MAY or may not be water balloons...)!

All participants will receive a $10 off coupon for the Fall Soccer Registration Fee!

Looking for used goals for Fall League

We are currently on the lookout for a set of goals that are 8’ wide by 6’ tall.
