Please Be Aware: Allergies

Upward Families:
Please be aware that we have several Upward players out on the fields who are highly allergic to peanuts. Please do not leave peanut shells on the ground - if they come in contact with them, they will have a severe reaction. We can provide small trashbags or trashcans (from the concessions stand) if you'd like to have peanuts out on the fields.

Also, if you child has a food allergy, please let the coach know so that we can communicate that with parents who are bringing snacks each week.

We want to look out for the best interest of every single child out on the fields.

Parent Letter: 3/26/12

Upward Parents:

I can hardly believe we have reached the halfway point in our Upward season. I want to take a second to thank you for choosing Upward sports. We don’t take the opportunity to coach your child lightly and appreciate you – bringing kids to and from practice and games, providing snacks for games, and for supporting and assisting the coaches. Thank YOU.

Since we are now halfway through the season, we have several events coming up and wanted to make sure you were aware ---

First, our Chick-fil-a day, will be held on Sat., April 14. Chick-fil-a sandwiches will be available for purchase at concessions.

Second, on our last game day – Sat., April 21 – we will have some fun activities during the games (joust, free sno-cones, etc.). Please make sure your child doesn’t miss out!

Third, we always conclude our Upward season by having a big Celebration. The Awards Celebration will be held on Sun., April 22 at 4:00 p.m. in the NRBC Worship Center. Doors will open at 3:45 p.m. Our special guest is Brett Myers of “BAM Magic.” The awards celebration includes powerpoint from the season, distribution of gifts and closing team time, special guest Brett Myers & more! Don’t miss out!

Traffic Notice for Saturday Morning

Parents:
Please be aware that the monitor Merrimack will be closed Friday evening - late Saturday. Because of this, please be aware that the re-routed traffic will most likely be backed up and cause a need to leave earlier for pictures/games.

Don't forget....this Sat., March 24 several teams have double headers and it's picture day! Picture day WILL proceed in rain or shine, so just plan on showing up whether it's raining or not.

Don't forget - picture day is this Sat., March 24. Picture Day will proceed in rain or shine--- we will move indoors in the event of inclement weather.

NRBC Children's Half Day Camp Themes Released!

Each summer, NRBC holds several half day camps for children grades 1-6. This summer, we also have one half day camp for girls ages 11-15. Our camp themes/dates were just released and registration packets will be available by the end of next week.We can only take up to 24 children for each camp - so it's based on a first come, first serve basis (and then we have a waiting list in case of cancellations).

Makeup Games from 3-3-12 - Phase 1

On Sat., March 17, we will begin making up games from the rain out on opening day - Sat., March 3. On Sat., March 17, all 9:00 a.m. games (from Sat., March 3) will play at 12:00 noon (following regularly scheduled games on the 17th.)

Games Cancelled for 3-3-12

Due to the severe weather and unsafe field conditions, the Upward Commissioners have decided to cancel today's games and plan to re-schedule. Please stay tuned for updates next week on the makeup plan.
